Winter Portrait Session
by Tricia Rossi
Winter is such a beautiful backdrop for portraits. Using bright clothing against the white of the snow... breath taking! A lot of times we forget about how beautiful the winter can be for pictures outdoors. Many of us want Summer and Fall pics. But winter can be just a beautiful and a totally different type of session. I will post more from our day out in the snow. I also got to do take portraits of my niece and nephew in the snow. I will definitely share some of our winter fun portraits!

Artistic Exposures Facebook Contest
So... I've discovered I-Movie! Oh my.. how fun is this program! I used it to announce my contest winners for my facebook contest that I was running. I can't wait to make more of these little movies for all kinds of things. I may have to think of a way to incorporate them into my photography sessions. Where has this program been all life? LOL!

The Beginning
by Tricia Rossi
I started my photography business over 9 years ago. It was a passion of mine since I was a child and I ended up turning into so much more! I had the opportunity to photograph a few weddings and friends' new babies. One day, I decided that I wanted to become a professional photographer. I decided that I was going to take this "hobby" and do something amazing with it.
I am a social worker, and I worked with children who were severely abused. It was a soul impacted career. There were many tears, most days. Social work can be a rigid field, with many rules regarding social work ethics, best practice and professional boundaries. These rules are in place for a reason, to protect. However, there were many days that I felt my career path lacked a human connection. Hugs for instance. I understood why, but it never made it any easier.
So, I started to take photos of smiling children interacting with their families. I took photos of LOVE. It was my way to heal my soul from all that I had seen in my career as a social worker. And I fell in love with it!
After 9 years, I am still in love with photography. My life has changed so much since the days that I was just starting my business. I am now a stay at home mommy with two amazing kiddos ages 3 and 1 year. I am so thankful that the photographer business I started 9 years ago, now allows me to stay home with my kiddos and work from home doing what I love.
I am now diving into blogging. My hope is to share with other mommies ways to capture their life's moments. Capture the smiles, moments, LOVE. I have had the chance to do this for so many families and I'm able to do this for my own family. Now I would like to share that with so many more families through blogging.
My posts will be about anything photography and mommy related. I am not sure where this blogging things is really going to go...but I'm SO excited about the possibilities!
